The second season of "Arthdal Chronicles" can't be broadcast as predetermined due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As early as February, tvN confirmed that it was preparing the second season of "Athdal Chronicles", with the aim of starting shooting in the second half of the year. However, according to recent reports, the production plan will be postponed due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic.
The pandemic caused the production company to make some changes because they could not shoot overseas, which meant that the production team must also reschedule the schedule with the actors. The aim is to broadcast the TV series next year, but it is reported that the schedule will be postponed due to the delay in filming. Therefore, the second season of "Arthdal Chronicles" hasn't been included from the 2021 lineup.
An industry representative said: "To immediately consider the current situation, it is difficult to decide the production of "Arthdal Chronicles" in the second quarter. The production situation and costs will be the same as in the first season, So the production company is reconsidering this situation"
After the report, Studio Dragon, the production company of the show, shared: "Because of COVID-19, the planned crank of the second season has become uncertain. We are constantly discussing the production schedule."
